Perkara pertama yang perlu dibuat adalah mencari maklumat dimana sambungan USB modem itu dibuat. Ia boleh dilaksanakan dengan arahan tail seperti berikut(arahan dilaksanakan dalam root);

tail -f /var/log/messages

Perhatikan dalam log bahawa modem itu dikesan;

Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.642511] usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 6
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.867040] usb 4-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.878240] option 4-1:1.0: GSM modem (1-port) converter detected
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.878240] usb 4-1: GSM modem (1-port) converter now attached to ttyUSB0
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.897474] option 4-1:1.1: GSM modem (1-port) converter detected
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.897474] usb 4-1: GSM modem (1-port) converter now attached to ttyUSB1
Nov 10 22:07:47 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  421.900022] scsi14 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Nov 10 22:07:52 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  426.906040] scsi 14:0:0:0: CD-ROM            HUAWEI   Mass Storage     2.31 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2
Nov 10 22:07:52 hostmaster-laptop kernel: [  426.938040] sr2: scsi-1 drive

pppconfig

pilih Create>Provider Name(cth Umobile)>Configure Nameservers(Use Dynamic DNS)>Authentication Method(PAP)>Usename(none)>Password(none)>Speed(tekan enter sahaja)>Pulse or tone(tone)>Phone number (*99#)>Choose Modem Config Method(No)>Manually Select Modem Port(/dev/modem)>Finished

Finished configuring connection and writing changed files.  The chat         â‚
â‚ strings for connecting to the ISP are in /etc/chatscripts/Umobile, while     â‚
â‚ the options for pppd are in /etc/ppp/peers/Umobile.  You may edit these      â‚
â‚ files by hand if you wish.  You will now have an opportunity to exit the     â‚
â‚ program, configure another connection, or revise this or another one.

Untuk menyambungkannya cuma jalankan;

pon Umobile

Lelaki yang menjual dunia

Man who sold the world – Nirvana

We passed upon the stairs,
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasnt there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes — I thought you died alone
A long long time ago

Oh no, not me,
We never lost control,
Youre face to face,
With the man who sold the world

I laughed and shook his hand,
I made my way back home,
I searched for form and land,
Years and years I roamed,
I gazed a gazely stare,
We walked a million hills — I must have died alone,
A long long time ago.

Who knows, not me,
I never lost control,
Youre face, to face,
With the man who sold the world.

Where did you Sleep Last Night?

My girl, my girl, dont lie to me
Tell me, where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun dont ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
Im going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun dont ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband, was a hard working man
Just about a mile from here
His head was found in a driving wheel
But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, dont lie to me
Tell me, where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun dont ever shine
I will shiver the whole night through
(sing it for me)

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
Im going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun dont ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, dont lie to me
Tell me, where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun dont ever shine
I will shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will ya go?
Im going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, the pines
The sun, the shine
Ill shiver the whole night through

Both WD Scorpio Blue drives deliver high-performance with a 3 gigabits per second (Gb/s) transfer rate.

“The convergence of the growing mobile computing and digital media trends produces demand for desktop-like capacities in portable devices,” said Margaret Koh, WD Director of Sales, Asia South. “Our new WD Scorpio Blue drives enable people to take even more of their digital collections with them wherever they go and, realizing the value of their data, back up their notebooks on their My Passport drives.”

WD Scorpio Blue hard drives offer high-performance, low power consumption and cool operation in portable applications.  They are designed with WD features to be reliable and shock resistant while also delivering industry-leading capacity and performance.

WD Scorpio Blue Features

-          WhisperDriveâ„¢ – WD’s exclusive WhisperDrive technology combines state-of-the-art seeking algorithms to produce one of the quietest 2.5-inch drives available.
